TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, June 21 (Reuters) - The death toll from a riot at a women's prison in Honduras rose to 46, a government spokesperson said on Wednesday, as anxious relatives demanded information about the fate of incarcerated family members. Relatives of inmates gathered at the Centro Femenino de Adaptacion Social, the 900-person women's penitentiary around 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the capital city Tegucigalpa, where gang violence erupted a day earlier. Identifying victims is a challenge, as many of which were "charred or reduced" to ash, according to Yuri Mora, spokesperson for the public prosecutor's office. An app that simulated colonial Brazil in the 17th century allowed users to be slave masters. The game was called "Slavery Simulator" and was available in Brazil for about a month. A Brazilian lawmaker filed a complaint against Google and alleged that some users praised the app. The game — called "Simulador de Escravidão" or "Slavery Simulator" — was available to Google Play users in Brazil starting April 20 before it was taken down on Wednesday, according to The Post. The game was downloaded more than 1,000 times before it was removed from the digital store, the Post reported.

April 30 (Reuters) - An armed attack has killed 10 people in the Ecuadorean port city of Guayaquil, the public prosecutor's office of Ecuador and police reported on Sunday. Three people were wounded, including a 5-year-old girl, police said on Sunday. A rifle and 9-millimeter caliber guns were found at the scene, the Ecuadorean Prosecutor's Office posted on its Twitter account. "We believe that this has to do with a struggle between organized criminal groups over the fight for territorial control," National Police Commander William Villaroel told a news conference. The Ecuadorean government declared a state of emergency in early April in Guayaquil and surrounding areas in an effort to curb surging violence in the Pacific port city.
